ENHANCING YOUR HEALTH WITH MASSAGE THERAPY

Whether seeking relief for a medical condition, searching for a method to help deal with the stresses of daily life, or wanting to maintain good health, more and more Americans are turning to therapeutic massage.

Massage is more then a feel good, muscle relaxation technique. Research shows it reduces the heart rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, improves range of motion, and increases the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers.

WHAT IS THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE?

Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body, to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasms and stress.

CARE

Your Massage Therapy session will be personally designed for your specific needs and wants. Your first appointment will begin with the massage therapist asking what prompted you getting a massage, your current physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress level, and pain/injury history.

A full-body massage requires removing your clothing to your level of comfort. You will be covered with a sheet, blanket, or other appropriate type drape such as a towel or gown. Only the part of your body being massaged will be exposed, ensuring that your modesty is respected at all times.

Some massages, such as those onsite are done while fully clothed. For this type of massage, you will sit in a specifically designed portable massage chair.

A number of types and styles of massage are used by massage therapists regularly, a few of the treatment therapies I offer are:

· Swedish Massage
· Injury Rehabilitation
· Cranial Sacral Therapy
· Headache Massage
· Foot Massage
· Manual Lymph Drainage
· Reflexology
· Trigger Point Therapy
· Pain Management
· Home Stretching program
